What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Opr Level 5 position at TAYLOR MACHINE WORKS INC?
Primary Function: To function as a member of the Welding Group as a welder, and welder fitter on assemblies.
Tools and Equipment: Various types of equipment including but not limited to drill presses, sanders, fork li fts, saws, ordinary hand tools , cutting torch , overhead crane, welder, positioner, submerged arc welder, rail welder, assemblies , etc.
Materials: Structural steel parts, weldments and assemblies , various filler metal, various gasses, soapstone, crayons, etc .
Source of Supervision: Foreman Direction Exercises: None Working Procedure:
Functions as a member of a Welding Group producing parts and assemblies on assemblies. Performs at skill levels includ ing , but not limited to, operating drill presses, sanders, saws, ordinary hand tools, cutting ,
welding, positioners, submerged arc welder, railwelder, assembly, etc. Responsible for own work within a work group requiring coordination with other members of the group in order to maintain production.
Performs other duties as assigned. Provides instruction and/or training as qualified.
Qualifications:Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Must hold any governmental mandated certificates and licenses.
Must pass TMW-AWS DI4.3 Welder Qualification Test.
