Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, and balancing the cash drawer at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store area is clean and inviting
- Conduct retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining retail store product knowledge
- Promote safety protocols at the pump area and ensure proper handling of fuel transactions
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or in person, ensuring clear communication
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
- Strong cash register operations skills with basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and balancing registers
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to provide top-notch customer service
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable
- Supervising experience in retail or customer service roles is advantageous for leadership opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and retail math to support store operations
