Part-Time Counter Person — Somerset Automotive Inc.

Somerset Automotive Inc. is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Part-Time Counter Person to join our team in Princess Anne, Maryland.

We are a local automotive parts business specializing in helping customers find the right parts for their cars, trucks, and equipment—including hard-to-find parts. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers and has an interest in automotive parts and vehicles.

Position Details

• Position: Part-Time Counter Person
• Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
• Schedule: Daytime hours
• Weekend Availability: Required
• Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the counter and over the phone
• Identify and locate automotive parts using catalogs, computer systems, and supplier information
• Help customers find the correct parts for their vehicles and equipment
• Process sales and provide accurate pricing
• Receive, organize, and stock incoming inventory
• Assist with general store and counter duties
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
• Work with vendors and suppliers when necessary to locate parts

Qualifications

• Automotive parts experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
• Basic knowledge of automobiles, trucks, or small engines is a plus
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using a computer and learning parts lookup systems
• Reliable and dependable
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team
• Must be available to work weekends
• A willingness to learn is more important than knowing everything about automotive parts
