This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze current processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Job Summary:

NOTE: The activities of this position will include long periods of exposure to temperatures of 35 degrees.

The Production Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and supervision of a designated area in production driving efficient results. Responsible for the Safety and Quality of designated area and team assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Supervise designated area production team

2. Responsible for continuous improvement to Quality and Food Safety

3. Responsible for managing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout the production floor

4. Maintain and uphold finished product specifications

5. Assist in product traceback and recalls

6. Communicate with other departments to maintain an efficient and productive line of cooperation

7. Report all absences, employee issues, accidents and rule infractions to Production Supervisor

8. Report all mechanical issues to maintenance in a timely fashion

9. Responsible for team meeting all efficiency standards

10. Monitor and reduce overtime as needed, controlling labor costs

11. Ensures training of all new hires and staff in designated area

12. Must meet attendance requirements per Taylor Farms as attendance is crucial to position

13. Follow and enforce all GMP and PPE procedures per Taylor Farms requirements

14. Follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations per Taylor Farms requirements

****Please note that our facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Flexibility is required. Scheduling and hours are based on business needs. 1st shift is 6AM until work is completed****

Condition of Employment:

• The successful candidate will be required to provide documentation demonstrating the right to work in the United States upon hire and subject to the E-Verify program.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, sitting, crouching, crawling, and climbing frequently. It also requires long periods of exposure to temperatures of 35 degrees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Employment Requirements:

· GED or equivalent, some college preferred

· Must pass pre-employment drug screen

· Reliable transportation required

· Flexible schedule (to include Weekends and Holidays)

Work Experience Requirements:

· Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a supervisor position or lead position in relevant industry

· Previous foodservice manufacturing experience preferred

· Bi-lingual English and/or Spanish, oral and written, communication skills are desired

· Ability to complete necessary paperwork in a neat and timely fashion

· Ability to follow instructions

· Meet established standards for quality and productivity

· Ability to maintain a high degree of morale

· Strong leadership skills
