Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor ensures a smooth and efficient manufacturing process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. Identifies problems and resolves issues. Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and staff are available as needed to maintain production schedules. Support continuous improvement goals in safety, costing, quality, and customer service. Creates a team-oriented work force in order to improve business results
Essential Functions (These are not intended to be all inclusive and are subject to changes):
· Supervises all production activities performed by employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift.
· Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime.
· Reports equipment problems to appropriate department and production manager
· Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for employees
· Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.
· Lead team members to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities
· Identify problems or bottlenecks in production and processes and resolve issues
· Support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service
· Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team-oriented work force in order to improve business results
· Manages and develops people and processes; plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of production associates; counsels, coaches, records and disciplines as necessary.
Job Requirements:
· 3 years production processing, maintenance or engineering experience
· 2 years supervisory experience preferred
· Knowledgeable of OSHA, HACCP/HARPC, FDA, USDA, & GFSI requirements
· Experience in a “make today, ship today” environment is preferred
· Ability to work all shifts and weekends
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Knowledge of FDA and USDA policies and procedures preferred
· Ability to work weekends, holidays in a cold wet environment
· Required to stand, walk, sit, and reach above shoulder level, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
· Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
· High School Diploma or GED

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
