Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and renovation sites. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and construction plans to execute precise electrical layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently.
- Work on low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper installation and safety measures are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate electrical work during renovation and new construction projects.
- Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals; perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
- Ensure all work adheres to local codes, NEC standards, and safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction environments.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals related to NEC standards and electrical codes; experience with renovation projects is a plus.
- Strong construction site experience with the ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces when required.
- Handyman skills including framing carpentry or general maintenance are advantageous for versatile project support.
