Primary Duties And Responsibilities For Paralegal
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, other firms, the court, and litigation support vendors
- Maintain attorney calendar and deadlines
- Review and summarize medical records
- Review and summarize medical service billing records
- Extract relevant information from investigative documents such as police reports, surveillance reports, and government agency records.
- Prepare files for upcoming depositions, hearings, mediations and trial
- Handle pleading shells/drafts for attorney review
- File and serve documents as needed
- Review court procedures and ensure compliance with specific county and judge rules
- Performs other duties as necessary.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Dependable with a respect for confidentiality and policies.
- Prior legal experience as legal assistant/paralegal in insurance defense strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of civil litigation procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Knowledge of ProLaw software.
