Recreation/Activity Coordinator
Join our team as a Recreation/Activity Assistant and help us create a vibrant and engaging environment for our residents! In this role, you'll provide daily activities that are appropriate for individual or group skills and/or interests; work collaboratively as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team of staff from health services, dining, and housekeeping departments; invite and direct residents to participate in the daily offerings of activities; assist the Activity Coordinator with resident programs throughout Taylor Community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing and implementing engaging activities for Memory Care and Assisted Living residents
- Assist with special events/programs, such as music programs, holiday observations/resident birthday parties, etc. for Memory Care and Assisted Living residents
- Assist residents during meals and perform light housekeeping
- Assist with personal care needs of the residents during activity events
- Facilitate one-on-one interactions and group activities
- Transport residents for off-campus activities using community vehicles
Qualifications:
- Must hold current LNA license in good standing with the State of NH
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one year of experience working with seniors
- Previous experience working with people who have cognitive impairment preferred
- Dementia training is a plus; willingness to learn is essential
- Energetic and enthusiastic, with a passion for resident engagement
- Flexibility required covering activities scheduled on weekends, nights, evenings, and holidays
- Regularly scheduled weekend assignments
- Valid and clean driver's license
