Role and Responsibilities
Crew Members will enjoy the opportunity to learn new skills in the lawn maintenance industry. You must be able to work outdoors in all safe weather conditions. When working on one of our maintenance crews, you will be using a variety of equipment such as an edger, string trimmers, pruning shears, blowers, and hedge trimmers. In addition, you will be required to hand pick weeds from plant beds and the associated cleanup. Minor tree pruning while standing from the ground using a manual tree pruner will also be part of your responsibilities. You will also be required to follow specific safety guidelines when using lawn maintenance tools. You will report to a Crew Leader who will provide specific training for your job to ensure you achieve specific quality, productivity, and safety standards.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Previous experience is helpful, but not required.
You must have a general understanding of the Lawn Maintenance business.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Have a positive attitude, willing to learn, and dependable (show up for work on time and when scheduled).
Flexible to work overtime and Saturdays if needed.
Physical Characteristics
Frequently stand, walk, or crouch on narrow and/or slippery surfaces; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects; walk for long distances and on sloped ground and uneven surfaces; move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
