Duties
- Safely load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Handle materials with care during loading, unloading, and storage to prevent damage or safety hazards.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Maintain organization of warehouse space by stacking pallets correctly and managing inventory locations.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, update records, and ensure data accuracy.
- Participate in regular safety inspections, including fence checks and yard audits, to uphold OSHA compliance.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus for understanding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Previous roles involving shipping & receiving or load & unload operations will be advantageous.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership skills are beneficial for potential growth opportunities within the team.
Pay: $21.80 - $22.80 per hour
