What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist position at TAXLINQ MULTI-SERVICES LLC?
TaxLinq is hiring Intake Specialists / Marketing Support staff to work inside busy check cashing stores and in the immediate neighborhood.
You will:
- Greet customers,
- Help them complete simple intake forms,
- Connect them with a tax preparer, and
- Distribute flyers and door hangers in-store and around assigned nearby businesses and apartment complexes, with photo proof via our app.
PTIN holders may have the opportunity to grow into a tax preparer position.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers entering the store and let them know taxes are done here
- Explain our tax service and help customers fill out basic intake forms (paper or online)
- Collect and organize required documents (IDs, W-2s, 1099s, etc.)
- Connect clients with a remote tax preparer (video/online) or in-person preparer
- Receive flyers and door hangers from the manager and:
- Distribute inside the store
- Walk to assigned nearby businesses and apartment complexes to place flyers/door hangers (where allowed)
- Use our mobile app to take photos as proof of distribution and log locations
- Keep the intake/marketing area clean, organized, and stocked
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking to strangers
- Able to stand, walk, and go door-to-door / business-to-business for part of your shift
- Basic smartphone and app skills (for photos and check-ins)
- Professional appearance and reliable attendance
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) is a plus, not required
- PTIN holders may be considered for tax preparer work or advancement
