Role Description The Tax Partner is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading strategic tax engagements, overseeing complex tax planning and compliance matters, and serving as a primary advisor to growth-focused clients. Day-to-day activities include reviewing and signing off on tax returns, designing and implementing advanced tax strategies, and advising on entity structure, cash management, and long-term tax efficiency for businesses across sectors such as eCommerce and digital agencies. The Tax Partner will manage client relationships, guide internal teams on technical tax issues, and ensure adherence to applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements. This role also involves mentoring staff, contributing to process improvements, collaborating on service offerings such as R&D Tax Credit projects, and supporting business development through thought leadership and client consultations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in tax strategy and advisory, including Tax Planning and high-level Tax structuring for businesses of varying sizes.
- Strong background in Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation, with experience overseeing complex returns and multi-jurisdictional filings.
- In-depth knowledge of Tax Law and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply guidance to practical client solutions.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), enrolled agent (EA), or equivalent professional credential; advanced degree in taxation or related field preferred.
- Several years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory, including leadership responsibilities and managing client portfolios.
- Proficiency with cloud-based accounting and tax software, as well as comfort working in a technology-enabled, remote environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in clear, actionable terms.
- Proven ability to mentor teams, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to firm growth through client service excellence and business development.
