Role Description The Bartender/Beverage Cart Attendant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kansas City, MO. This role is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking guest orders, and ensuring accurate and efficient cash handling at the bar and on the beverage cart. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and breaking down the bar and cart, restocking supplies, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and following all safety and alcohol service regulations. The role also involves providing friendly, prompt customer service, answering guest questions, and coordinating with kitchen and service staff to support smooth operations. Weekend, holiday, and evening availability may be required based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear verbal interaction with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage service standards and familiarity with drink preparation and presentation.
- Accurate Cash Handling skills and comfort working with point-of-sale systems.
- Bartending experience, including mixing drinks, understanding drink recipes, and responsible alcohol service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move beverage supplies, and work in varying weather conditions when on the cart.
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail in a fast-paced service environment.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant/bar service preferred; relevant certifications for alcohol service in Missouri are a plus.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers Permit
