We are looking for a friendly and energetic Host to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this role, you will help create a warm, inviting atmosphere by managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Duties
- Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and assist with seating arrangements to ensure smooth flow of the dining area.
- Manage restaurant reservations using table management systems and coordinate waitlists efficiently.
- Answer phone calls professionally, providing information about wait times or reservation details while practicing good phone etiquette.
- Maintain organization of the front desk area and ensure all guest information is accurately recorded.
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize table turnover and maximize seating capacity during busy hours.
- Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of guest areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems like Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, including clear phone communication and good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling guest counts and managing waitlist calculations accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is a plus.
- A positive attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure in a lively environment.
