WORK OBJECTIVE:
Performs senior management level finance work for Taurus Holdings, Inc. Directs the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Recommends corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company. Position requires an extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specialized functions or business areas that can be used to develop policies and procedures as well as determining efficient and innovative ways to accomplish the organization’s business strategies.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Plans, directs, and coordinates the department’s work plan; assigns projects and programmatic areas of responsibility; reviews and evaluates work methods and procedures; meets with management staff to identify and resolve problems
· Assists CEO/CFO in preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification
· Selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates personnel; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies; implements discipline and termination procedures
· Prepares, analyzes reconciles monthly financial statements
· Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations
· Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies
· Reviews and posts journal entries from other departments
· Assists external auditors with quarterly reviews
· Prepares and provides monthly reporting to External Services (Banks, Auditors, and Parent Company)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; supplemented by eight (8) years’ finance experience, including at least three (3) years of supervisory or management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of complex financial concepts and principles
· Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint); SAP ERP systems
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure or governmental regulations
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public
· Ability to delegate authority and responsibility
· Ability to develop and administer departmental goals, objectives, and procedures
· Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals
· Ability to develop and administer budgets and financial reports
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to solve problems Ability to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the work of lower level staff
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station and extended periods of time standing and/or walking.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Tasks are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity. Some tasks may involve identifying and distinguishing colors.
