Tau Motors of Redwood City seeks a FT Senior Motor Controls Engineer ($124,900 p.a.) to help define motor control software & interfacing hardware components reqs, inc voltage & current sensors, power stages, & speed sensors; Understand, drive design of, & implement motor controller functionality, behaviors, & algorithms; Translate algorithms into software implementation & integrate that into the firmware framework; Test, validate, & troubleshoot controller implementation; Advance Tau’s intellectual property in electric motor design & motor controls; Develop, test, & validate motor control algorithms in the laboratory & in-vehicle; Maintain awareness of & influence research & development in crucial component tech that affect future inverter/motor designs & motor control.
