G/L Accounting Supervisor

Tatum by Randstad is seeking a highly experienced G/L Accounting Supervisor for an interim consulting role with a leading client in the property management sector. This is a remote position, but you must reside within an hour of the office location. You will leverage your General Ledger expertise and supervisory skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for a portfolio of Condominium and Homeowners Associations (HOAs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise and provide daily direction to a team of G/L Accountants. Prioritize, track, and review monthly financial statements and work products to maintain departmental quality standards.
• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and revision of monthly Financial Statements for assigned HOAs/Condos, ensuring all contractual due dates and statutory requirements are met.
• Investigate and resolve internal/external problems and outstanding open items related to financial statements.
• Assist the Financial Reporting Leadership Team in maintaining compliance with accounting principles. Support independent CPA firms during year-end, turnover, and periodic audits.
• Provide timely assistance to Property Managers, Regional Directors, and Field Support on complex accounting matters.
• Participate in various projects, system testing, and implementations as requested by leadership.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive General Ledger accounting experience.
• Proven Supervisory/Leadership experience (managing a team of Accountants).
• Prior experience in Property Management, Real Estate, or Residential Management (specifically working with HOA or Condominium accounting) is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Exceptional organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
