Packer - Boston Bakery

At Tatte we bake everything from scratch and use high-quality ingredients. The Packer is responsible for the overall presentation of our products, making sure that items are packed neatly. This includes being organized and working in a clean and efficient manner and ensure that all product is accounted for and packed correctly for each customer. Packing must be done in a timely manner while also maintaining the quality of our bakery products.Summary of Responsibilities Checks all orders prepared by our production team are prepared and packaged neatlyConsolidates all items in an order so they are together ready for hand off to our delivery teamKeeps packing station clean and free of debris, clutter, etc.Restocks all items that are kept in the packing stationMaintains professional working relationships with all Tatte team membersPerforms job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environmentPerforms other duties as assignedWorking Conditions/Essential FunctionsMust be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally throughout the dayConstant standing/walkingOccasional stooping, or kneelingFrequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s)Basic math skills required; able to do count, divide, subtract and multiplyRetrieves clipboards and reviews invoices to ensure that they are accurateCount productsExamine and inspect all items to ensure that quality specifications are metMust be able to work in 40 degrees Fahrenheit environment for up to 4 hours (intermittently) per 8 hours shiftPosition Requirements:Excellent verbal communication skills to engage with team membersKnowledge and understanding of product and packaging standardsCapable of working in a team setting Attention to detail Preferred SkillsPrior experience working in a high-volume bakery production, banquet production kitchen, restaurant kitchen, or similar environmentPrior experience in a high-volume production facilityFamiliar with Good Manufacturing PracticesExperience working as a member of a teamFluency in English and/or SpanishOur Benefits and PerksCompetitive pay (ranging from $17,50-$21.50/hour, depending on experience) 401(k) (with a vesting match)Health, dental and vision insurance for full-time team membersVacation time and sick time Free employee assistance program servicesInternal English and Spanish classesFree drinks and generously discounted mealsExciting potential for growthPlease note that Tatte is an E-Verify employer.
