About The Role
The Information Systems Technical Manager oversees the implementation, maintenance, and performance of IT systems, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with Kingspan IT policies. This role includes managing the support team, leading IT projects, ensuring system security and disaster recovery, and driving service performance through KPIs and change management processes.
What You’ll Do
- Managing hardware and software installations and upgrades.
- Maintaining information systems by planning, monitoring, and coordinating employees.
- Assessing information systems results by auditing their application and results.
- Participating in planning and designing technologies to meet the growing needs of the business.
- Safeguarding assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring that staff comply with organisational policies.
- Being a mentor and escalation point for technical questions/solutions for the IS team.
- Managing the support team with performance reviews and any disciplinary matters.
- Implement local policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to control measures specified in the Group-led Kingspan IT Manual.
- Supporting other projects/works and various parts of the business as required.
- Managing the delivery of new and updated IS systems ensuring documentation and processes are followed in compliance with the Kingspan IT Manual.
- Managing change to IS systems and infrastructure through the divisional change management process.
- Managing the technical delivery of IS projects and acquisitions.
- Manage and Report performance on IS Service Desk KPIs in line with the agreed SLA.
- Being flexible with travel requirements to support the divisional scope.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure communication across all sites remain consistent and up to date.
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures. Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
- Participate in training as required.
- A bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field with at least 3 years’ of managerial experience in a similar role in a corporate environment.
- Comfortable managing and leading a team.
- Proficient in IT systems terminology.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- A working knowledge of Cisco Meraki switch and Wi-Fi technologies
- Have a working knowledge of O365, including managing and maintaining SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Must have excellent timekeeping and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
- Must demonstrate a good attitude to work and be flexible to challenges and changes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adapting approach, when necessary, to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
