Seasonal Counter Helper

Tate’s Bake Shop is looking for a Counter Helper to join their legacy shop in Southampton, NY. As a Counter Helper you are responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner, taking orders with attention to accuracy, and processing payments. You will play a big role in ensuring our customers leave with a smile by providing them with outstanding customer service. You will model Tate’s Bake Shop integrity and work collaboratively with the shop’s dynamic team.

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

• Applicants ages 16-17 must have valid working papers (Employment Certificate)
  
  

What can you expect on the job?

• Greet customers as they arrive.
• Answer questions and make customers feel welcome.
• Take and prepare orders.
• Monitor orders for consistent quality and report concerns as needed.
• Diligently follow all safety protocols.
• Assist in maintaining all work areas clean.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with other staff to serve orders in a timely manner.

What should you bring?

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  
  

What will your schedule look like?

• Start time: 4:00 am.
• Seasonal, part-time. Approximately 30 hours per week.
• Length of shift will be contingent upon daily production schedule.
• Due to the nature of retail environment, hours may vary.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
