We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Manage and mentor service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
- Implement effective upselling strategies to promote additional services and products to customers.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide accurate auto estimating for repairs needed.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service area.
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance overall dealership performance through effective communication.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Prepare reports on service department performance, including sales metrics and customer feedback.
Skills
- Proven experience in auto service management within a dealership environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, including transmissions, brake repair, oil changes, and diesel engine repair.
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics with a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Experience in service writing and managing service technician workflows effectively.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and sales techniques related to automotive services.
- Knowledge of alignment, suspension systems, tire services, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair is advantageous.
