About the Role

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services necessary to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards, timely delivery, and supplier performance. The ideal candidate has at least four years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrates strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills.


What You’ll Do

  • Source and procure raw materials, components, and services in alignment with production schedules and inventory requirements
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor order status to ensure on-time delivery
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and inventory teams to forecast material needs
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, pricing data, and supplier documentation
  • Resolve issues related to supplier performance, delivery delays, or quality concerns
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support audits and maintain documentation in accordance with internal controls

Additional Expectations

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and sourcing strategies
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of contract terms, pricing structures, and cost analysis
