Responsibilities:

As the Head of Manufacturing Operations, you will have the opportunity to shape our global manufacturing strategy, build a best-in-class team, and drive innovation in EMS manufacturing. You will play a crucial role in supporting top-tier consumer electronics brands and leading Tata Electronics’ expansion into the global hardware space.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with Tata Electronics’ business growth objectives.
- Lead engagement with customers from RFQ through NPI to mass production.
- Build and scale manufacturing operations capabilities in the US to support global EMS customers.
- Ensure smooth transition from prototyping to high-volume production, optimizing for efficiency and cost.
- Drive automation and smart manufacturing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Establish NPI and prototyping capabilities to support early-stage product development and iterative design improvements.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing quality.
- Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing manufacturing operations team with expertise in product operations, factory operations, automation, and process engineering.
Essential Attributes:
- Experience working with Tier 1 EMS providers and global manufacturing partners, preferably in India and Asia-based production environments.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills to balance technical and business priorities.
Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, product operations, or supply chain leadership in the consumer electronics industry.
- Proven track record of leading factory operations and scaling NPI to mass production.
- Deep expertise in DFM, automation, SMT, FATP, industrial engineering, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to navigate complex supply chain and cost management challenges in high-volume manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
Desired Experience Level:
- 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, hardware development, or product launches.
- Track record of delivering products from concept to mass production across diverse portfolios
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and collaboration with global EMS or contract manufacturers.
