What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manufacturing Associate - 1st Shift position at Tasus Corporation?
Job purpose
- A QMA 1 is responsible for operating one or more plastic injection molding machines or auxiliary equipment. QMA will inspect, perform value added work and pack parts accordingly.
Duties and responsibilities
- Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Complete shift/press paperwork as required
- Ability to walk medium distances within press cycle times
- Comply with department policies, procedures and work instructions including the TASUS Quality Management System
- Must be able to take directions well.
- Participate in monthly meetings and TPS projects.
- Must be able to solve problems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in team environment and maintain positive attitude
- Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures
- Good attention to detail
Working conditions
- Manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required.
- Eight hours shifts, mandatory overtime when required
Physical requirements
- Standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, kneel and squat.
