What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor - 2nd shift position at Tasus Corporation?
Job purpose
- A production supervisor is responsible for developing quality manufacturing associates (qmas) and directing their job assignments. A production supervisor will also provide technical hands on leadership to the production staff. Must also convey a professional attitude towards all employees while recognizing the responsibility to meet production schedules.
Duties and responsibilities
- Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Comply with department policies, procedures and work instructions including the TASUS Quality Management System
- Understand and ensure team is following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Handle performance, disciplinary and attendance issues. Review employee performance as outlined in handbook
- Complete shift documents and reports
- Effectively communicate with other departments and escalate appropriate issues within their department
- Assist production staff with TPS meetings and projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in direct supervisor. Must have hands-on leadership ability.
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to work and lead in a team environment and maintain and encourage positive attitudes
- Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Working conditions
- Manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required.
Physical requirements
- Standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, kneel and squat
