Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros or Aloha POS
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting stations
- Assist with food handling, preparation support, and adherence to food safety protocols
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
- Support opening or closing procedures as needed, including cash handling and shift reports
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or Aloha POS for order processing and sales transactions
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary experience or food industry background to understand menu items and food safety standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently
- Experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is desirable for adapting to different service styles
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation practices to uphold health standards
