Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative food preparation. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, inventory control, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment committed to excellence in fine dining and catering services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality food production
  • Develop and update menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency with restaurant standards
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during shifts
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to foster professional growth and teamwork
  • Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely execution and quality standards are met
  • Implement innovative culinary techniques and maintain high standards of hospitality excellence
  • Monitor kitchen operations during shifts, manage scheduling, and handle shift management duties

Skills

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments with banquet or catering experience preferred
  • Strong supervising and team management skills with leadership capabilities
  • Extensive culinary expertise including food production, food safety, and food handling procedures
  • Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and inventory control
  • Knowledge of restaurant management practices including shift management and food service management
  • Ability to oversee kitchen operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
  • Familiarity with dietary department requirements and food allergy considerations
  • Competence in catering services, event planning, and hospitality industry standards
  • Proficiency in food industry best practices related to cooking, food management, and kitchen experience
