Cashier - Order Taker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier and Order Taker to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately taking customer orders, both in person and on the phone, ensuring a positive experience, and accuracy when giving customers orders. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently managing order processing in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders with accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize POS system to process transactions and manage orders.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring a tidy environment.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant settings, preferably in quick service or fast food environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
• Ability to upsell products effectively while providing outstanding customer service.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Experience in cashiering, serving, or bussing is a plus, along with retail math knowledge.
