A Sci/Geo/Eng II conducts complex assignments within broad guidelines, applies innovative solutions, and plans and organizes work of assigned personnel or consultants/contractors. Their actions and decisions may have a significant influence on the operational or financial results of the project. They may mentor others in the project team and provide input, as applicable, into performance management.
Duties/Responsibilities
It is anticipated that this role will consist of a mix of field and office-based work and will require knowledge of environmental remediation, engineering and geology.
This role will require strict adherence to deadlines, therefore strong time management and communication skills are needed.
This role would primarily be based in the Wheat Ridge, CO area with local travel only.
Work Environment
This role operates in both field and office settings. Fieldwork may expose the employee to extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, and varying temperatures. The role routinely involves the use of PPE and safety equipment and may require handling contaminated samples.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as job duties demand. Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on job-specific needs and occasional overtime required.
Required Education And Experience
Employee must be authorized to work in the United States and must possess a valid driver’s license. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct, supervise, and/or cross-train staff during on-site activities.
- Oversee 3rd party contractors.
- Conduct remediation feasibility studies and pilot testing, initial design of remedial equipment and aquifer characterization.
- Assist, review or prepare work plans, corrective action plans, and less complex technical reports.
- Initial CSM development, data review, and data analysis.
- Collect detailed information for all field activities to provide vital data in the report development process.
- Assist with the preparation of summary reports and regulatory forms, as needed.
- Support project managers and senior staff with complex tasks.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
- Identify and offer valuable insight into long- and short-term environmental dilemmas.
- Maintain and expand professional knowledge through educational opportunities and professional networking.
- Demonstrates independent problem-solving abilities to analyze and resolve complex situations with minimal assistance.
- Identifies applications of knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems and can identify and break down obstacles for execution success.
- Demonstrates an ability to lead cross-functional project teams.
- Manages multiple priorities and consistently delivers results within their managed scope.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in oil and gas or environmental firms.
- High attention to detail and organization
- Strong communication ability with peers, management, and clients.
- Must be a quick starter.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Valid Driver License

Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field, or relevant experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in the environmental field or lab setting.
- Experience as a Geologist, Engineer, or Scientist in the Environmental industry.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Experience working with State Regulations and related entities.
- Knowledge of Environmental Remediation.
- Project management experience.
