Job Title: Construction Project Engineer – Full Time Position

Job Description: The Project Engineer assists with the execution of construction projects including preconstruction, construction phase, and project closeout. Responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of contracts, subcontracts, plans, and specifications (scope of work)
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation and records including subcontracts, purchase orders, logs, reports, minutes, etc.
- Coordination of permits
- Coordination and implementation of RFIs, change estimates, and change orders
- Coordination of submittals, shop drawings, and samples
- Assisting in review, approval, and processing of invoices, bills, and payments
- Updating and monitoring the project schedule in coordination with the management team
- Assisting with procurement including compliance with specifications and managing long-lead items
- Working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules
- Completing the project close-out
- Performing other duties as required to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the company’s standards and the client’s satisfaction
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management is required. Minimum one year experience at a construction company preferred. Candidate must have excellent documentation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Candidate must be detail oriented and have expertise in current software and electronic applications. Successful candidate will be a problem solver with the ability to take initiative.
