About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Outside Service Technician to perform high-quality repairs on case goods, leather, and upholstery furniture both in our warehouse and at customers’ homes. This role requires a customer-focused mindset combined with strong hands-on skills to maintain and restore furniture to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor and advanced repairs on various types of furniture with minimal supervision.
- Conduct surface repairs, refinishing, corner rebuilds, and replacement part repairs.
- Safely maintain and operate tools, equipment, and spray booths.
- Inspect damaged products and determine if they can be restored to like-new condition.
- Assist warehouse personnel with touch-ups and quality control processes.
- Document recurring damages and accurately report when repairs cannot be completed.
- Assess damages to identify the most efficient and cost-effective repair method.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and assist in training when needed.
- Demonstrate company core values and commitment to quality in all tasks.
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Prior experience in furniture repair, field service, or a related trade preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven hands-on repair skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently solve problems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious professional.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $24.00
