Summary
The Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the administration and coordination of the CoC program, which aims to address homelessness in the community. This position involves performing various clerical, support and administrative tasks, providing technical assistance, monitoring compliance, and supporting the development and implementation of strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The CoC Program Support Specialist works closely with various stakeholders, including service providers, government agencies, and community organizations, to ensure effective program operations and compliance with federal regulations, particularly those established by the State of Florida and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Responsibilities
· Provide administrative and technical support to the CoC program, including managing documentation, records, and reporting.
· Assist in the coordination of CoC meetings, training sessions, and workshops, including preparing materials, scheduling, and logistics.
· Support the monitoring and evaluation of CoC-funded projects, ensuring compliance with HUD requirements and other relevant regulations.
· Collect, analyze, and report data related to program performance, participant outcomes, and community needs.
· Facilitate communication and collaboration among CoC members, service providers, and stakeholders to enhance service coordination and resource allocation.
· Assist in the development and implementation of CoC policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
· Ensures the accuracy, quality and timeliness of assignments, project plans and required reports assigned.
· Provide technical assistance and guidance to CoC members on program requirements, funding applications, and best practices.
· Participate in the preparation of grant applications, funding proposals, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Stay informed about changes in federal, state, and local policies related to homelessness and housing, and communicate relevant updates to CoC members.
