Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Commercial Transmission Technician, preferable Ford Certified to join our team! In this vital role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty commercial vehicle transmissions and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our customers fleet operates smoothly and efficiently, providing top-tier service to our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive technologies in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Diagnose complex transmission issues in commercial vehicles using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools
- Repair and overhaul transmissions, including powertrain components and mechanical systems repair
- Perform diesel engine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles
- Conduct vehicle inspections such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems to complete repairs accurately
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality customer service
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment mechanics or automotive repair industry background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive suspension systems, air brake systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), and auto electrical systems a plus.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics with the ability to read schematics effectively
- Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, powertrain components, and mechanical systems repair
- Experience working with Ford, Gm and Dodge trucks or similar makes is a plus
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $29.77 - $60.00 per hour
