Manufacturing Technician 3 - Redondo Beach, CA
12 month contract, to $38/hr BOE
Position is for an aerospace/defense client. United States citizenship is required. Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred.
WORK SHIFT: 1st Shift (9/80A)
TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time
Aerospace/defense client is looking for a Electromechanical Technician 3 to support the Subassembly Manufacturing Assembly Resource and Test Lab (SMART Lab) assembling and testing propulsion systems.
Responsibilities:
- Working lab priority work orders as determined by leadership
- Mechanically and electrically assemble and test propulsion thrusters
- Mechanically and electrically assemble propulsion subsystems
Basic Qualifications for Electromechanical Technician 3:
- High school degree or equivalent and 7 years related experience.
- Basic knowledge of hand-tool use and safety
- Mechanical and electrical precision assembly
- Understanding drawings, work orders, and test procedures
Preferred Qualifications for Electromechanical Technician 3:
- Orbital welding
- Hand TIG welding
- Pneumatic and Vacuum set up and test
- Electrical functional set up and test
- Sheet metal fabrication
