About Our Client

Our client’s organization is a growing fashion company that designs and manufactures its own urban fashion brand, offering regular-priced apparel for major retailers. The company also develops a small percentage of private-label programs for major off-price retail chains in the United States.

As the company continues to grow and anticipates further expansion, it is seeking to add a Korean/English bilingual Production team member. This role requires working closely with vendors and clients in the United States as well as throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The organization operates from locations in New York, New York, and Carlstadt, New Jersey.

Position Overview

Our client organization is seeking a candidate who demonstrates understanding, enthusiasm, and a collaborative approach to the Production Coordinator role. Objectives of this role

• Assist with overall production follow-up and daily production activities, including managing daily email communications.
• Communicate with overseas factories and vendors regarding production status and schedules, including requesting samples, lab dips, and material approvals; following up on samples; coordinating sample shipments; and maintaining accurate sample tracking.
• Follow up on samples, sample approvals, fabrics, trims, fit comments, and production approvals.
• Manage purchase order (PO) status, delivery schedules, and shipping activities, including issuing and revising purchase orders, approving labels and carton markings, preparing packing slips and commercial invoices, and tracking shipping schedules.
• Communicate with buyers, factories/vendors and promptly follow up on their requests and requirements.
• Coordinate with internal design, sales, and production teams to ensure timely execution of production activities.
• Update Work in Progress (WIP) reports and assist in resolving production-related issues.
• Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines while utilizing available support and resources as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Recent Graduate of a bachelor’s degree in Fashion - Production Management or Supply Chain educational background is required.
• At least 1 years of experience in Fashion - Production Management or Supply Chain work experience.
• Must possess skills and experience in apparel production.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Illustrator.
• Must be able to communicate with buyers, factories, and vendors by email or phone calls.
• Korean/English Bilingual skill is required
• Demonstrate an excellent understanding of production priorities and urgency while taking responsibility for timely and effective communication with offshore vendors and domestic clients.
• Strong attention to detail and good follow-up skills
• Highly responsible, organized, and able to multitask effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in AI tools use is a plus
• Understanding of Cost Calculation, Inventory Management, etc is a plus.
• Understanding of Fashion Trend and Its market changes is a plus.

Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the organization offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, which is subject to eligibility requirements.
