Staff Accountant / Tax Accountant
(Small Business Tax & Bookkeeping Focus)

Position Summary
This is a full-time, permanent position. We are seeking an accountant with experience in tax preparation and/or bookkeeping who enjoys working directly with small-business clients.
This role includes:
· Preparing individual and business tax returns
· Bookkeeping and account reconciliations
· Communicating with clients
· Reviewing financial records
· Helping clients stay organized year-round
Responsibilities
· Prepare 1040, 1120S, 1065 and Schedule C returns
· Perform bookkeeping and reconciliations
· Review client financial records and identify issues
· Communicate with clients regarding missing information
· Support tax planning and year-end cleanup work
· Maintain organized work papers and documentation
Qualifications
Preferred:
· 2 years of tax and/or bookkeeping experience
· Experience with QuickBooks (Online and Desktop)
· Experience with tax software (Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProSeries)
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to manage deadlines during tax season
· Strong communication skills
CPA or EA preferred but not required.
