Duties
- Welcome patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate efficient check-in and check-out processes.
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems).
- Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during procedures.
- Support clinical workflows by measuring vital signs, performing basic physiology assessments, and documenting findings accurately.
- Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up reminders, and coordinate referrals for specialized care.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to outpatient and inpatient care.
- Proficiency in EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters and procedures.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in PICU settings.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
