About the Role:
As a Technician at Gate Manufacturing in MFGKY, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems. Your primary focus will be on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to implement preventive maintenance schedules and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role demands a hands-on approach to diagnosing technical issues and applying effective solutions promptly. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards and operational excellence within the facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems used in manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related technical disciplines.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment similar to Gate Manufacturing.
- Advanced computer skills including maintenance management software (CMMS).
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions and execute timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational transparency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills:
The required skills enable the Technician to effectively diagnose and repair complex manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent production quality. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge is applied daily to troubleshoot issues and perform preventive maintenance. The ability to read technical documentation supports accurate and efficient repairs. Preferred skills such as PLC programming and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing enhance the Technician's capability to contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives. Additionally, proficiency with maintenance management software facilitates organized tracking of maintenance activities and resource allocation.
