The Job Description - Retail Pharmacy Technician:

Details:

• Pay Range: $18 to $20 per hour
• Full Time Position (~40 hours per week)
• 8-Hour Shifts Monday through Friday, with an every 5th Saturday rotation
• This job does include working some nights and every 5th Saturday
• Duties include: Data entry, prescription counting and filling, answering patient and doctor office phone calls, assisting customers in-store and over the phone, also learning how to assist with point-of-care testing
• Fast-paced and exciting pharmacy environment
• Extremely customer-facing position, with a lot of interaction with our patients, both on the phone and in-person
• Opening and closing the pharmacy
• Other duties as assigned
• Helping train and work with pharmacy interns from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy

Requirements:

• Preferred: 2 years experience as a retail pharmacy technician
• Certified Pharmacy Technician or Trainee registered with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Ability to type proficiently, accurately, and quickly
• Exceptional communication skills with customers and coworkers
• Ability to multitask and perform gracefully under pressure and in high stress environments
• Ability to adapt to change and utilize technology
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Reliable, honest, personable, and hard working

Certified Pharmacy Technician needed for a part-time or full-time position at Tarrytown Pharmacy. We are an independent family-owned retail pharmacy that is looking to change the profession of pharmacy and the way that people think about a pharmacy. Applicants must be personable, customer service oriented, flexible, problem solvers, and able to work in a fast paced environment. We utilize our technicians in ways that are unlike a typical retail store, and rely on them to work on exciting projects that are pushing what is possible in the pharmacy world.
