As a PRN Pharmacist at Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy, you will work on an ad-hoc basis performing standard pharmacist duties in a closed-door setting. You will be responsible for providing coverage in times of high demand or when regular pharmacists are on paid leave.

Hours: PRN (anticipated 1, 8-hour shift per week)

Location: Onsite in our Lawrence, KS facility

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy – We are a long-term care pharmacy that provides specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. We have been providing long-term care pharmacy services since 2007, but we originated as part of our independent retail pharmacy, Tarrytown Pharmacy, which has been serving the local community since 1941. Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
  
  

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3 years preferred.
• Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Must be Immunization Certified.
• Order Entry experience is required.
• Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred.
• Medical Records experience preferred.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred.
• Positive personality who can work well within a team.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.
