Preschool Floater Teacher

Tarrytown Children's Center is a faith-based early childhood education center dedicated to providing a loving, play-centered environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. We are looking for a compassionate and flexible Floater Teacher to join our team and support various classrooms as needed. This person must be flexible and willing to go where needed on any given day. Willingness to work with children aged 3 months to 5 years old is a must.

This role will begin December 1, 2026.

• Assist lead teachers in different classrooms, ensuring a nurturing and safe learning environment.
• Implement age-appropriate activities that align with the school's values and educational standards.
• Support children with daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and outdoor play.
• Step into a lead role when teachers are absent, following lesson plans and classroom procedures.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children to create a strong sense of community.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Prior childcare, preschool, or teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with young children and have a caring and dependable nature.
• Able to pass a full background check
• Able to lift 30 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or Early Childhood Education credits preferred).
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
• Friendly, patient, and supportive with children.
• Able to legally work in the United States of America.

• A degree in education or a related field
• Experience as a lead teacher or co-teacher in multiple age groups
