Position Overview
The National Account Sales Representative will play a key role in expanding our market presence through solution-based selling, relationship management, and technical expertise. This role is vital for fostering long-term partnerships with existing clients while identifying and securing new national accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Development:
· Establish and maintain relationships with national accounts to support their ongoing construction programs.
· Act as a liaison between Tarrant Lighting’s internal teams (customer service, project management, accounting) and client contacts.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
· Provide tailored solutions and create effective proposals/quotations for prospective customers.
· Deliver impactful presentations to key decision-makers within targeted markets.
Industry Expertise & Collaboration:
· Stay informed about lighting industry trends, construction trends and markets, product advancements, and application opportunities through collaboration with partners.
· Offer technical and design support as needed to ensure client satisfaction and operational success.
Operational Excellence:
· Monitor customer relationships to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
· Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to overall business growth.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
· College degree preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in lighting or a related field.
· Proven sales and new customer development experience, preferred.
· Lighting Certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain certification.
Skills & Abilities:
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledgeable about the lighting industry, including products and distribution channels.
· Proven ability to prospect, engage, and close sales.
· Create and manage a pipeline.
· Develop relationships and grow revenue.
Technical Proficiency:
· Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize effectively.
· Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel (Advanced), and Outlook. Knowledge of AutoCAD, AGI32, Bluebeam, and HubSpot is preferred.
