Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and replacing plumbing and electrical equipment in apartments, routine carpentry work, preparing apartments for occupancy, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure efficient operations. Cleaning vacant units.
Responsibilities:
-Repair heating and air conditioning equipment
-Install gas stoves, appliances and water heaters
- Clear clogged pipes
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections to identify faulty equipment
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve overall functionality
- Keep accurate maintenance records
Experience:
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics
- Experience in field service maintenance
- Proficiency with an ohmmeter for electrical testing
- Solid understanding of electrical systems
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment repairs
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to carry and move objects, such as appliances, furniture, doors and sinks
- HVAC experience is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
