Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include financial reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in performing required reflectivity testing. Helps to establish the replacement/maintenance schedules for all traffic control devices within the Precinct Boundaries.
- Assist with the setup of temporary traffic control standards at various work sites.
- Input corrective Traffic Signs repairs and maintenance requests in Cartegraph.
- Maintains the active required Regulatory and Non-Regulatory sign inventory.
- On-Call after hours for Emergency “Regulatory” Traffic Sign repair or replacement.
- Operates different types of equipment used to remove obstructions interfering with the visibility of Traffic Signs.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) full-time years' experience setting traffic control devices, detour signs installation experience required.
- Installation and maintenance of regulated and non-regulated traffic signs preferred.
- Understanding of MUTCD codes and specifications.
- Possess a working knowledge of asphalt and concrete pavement.
- Must have a valid Class C driver license and obtain a Texas Class “A” CDL license with tanker endorsement within eight (8) months of hire.
- Basic knowledge of computer programs, smart levels, and digital measuring devices.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
