Superintendent- Mission Critical

We are searching for an experienced Superintendent- Mission Critical at our Tarlton HQ facility.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

MAJOR GOALS AND PURPOSE

Manage the daily operations of construction projects, including oversight of company resources and subcontractors, to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with project documents, construction budget, schedule demands, and that the delivery and quality of work is performed safely, while maximizing productivity and profitability.

Required Qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 5 years or more previous experience in Mission Critical or Data Center construction for either new construction or major renovations.
• OSHA 30 must be completed every 8 years.
• Must complete Tarlton Competent Person training.
• Driver license check required annually.
• Successful completion of multiple projects (5 min.), size and complexity dependent.
• Ability to successfully or annual programs of indemnified sizes and complexity projects valued at up to $5,000,000.
• LMS Training as assigned must be completed.
• Must be a safety-minded and quality-first individual while possessing a safe work history and enforcement of safety compliance.
• Must use Procore for daily logs, quality issues, and safety violations.
• Must be able to read & understand construction documents.
• Must have a growing understanding of the cost book and Tarlton labor codes.
• Must be able to help build a schedule with the project team, hold subcontractors accountable for milestones, and create and manage a 6-week look-ahead schedule based on the primary schedule alongside the Project Manager and Project Engineer.
• Must have subcontractors scheduled and contacted for upcoming work at least 2 weeks in advance.
  
  

In conjunction with the Project Engineer, they must help maintain the project as-builts drawing set (architectural sets at a minimum).

• Understand trade rules and jurisdiction.
• Must have the ability to layout, understand robotics layout, and understand BIM/navigate 3d viewing software.
• Manages subcontractors and understands scopes of work.
• Must have a growing understanding of the Front Ends and General Conditions and manage them.
• Must own the production of crews that are managed.
• Must be able to see if something is incorrect, problem solve, and write RFI’s.
• Must complete (1) weekly JSAR/yearly (52) with sufficient communication to onsite labor.
• Must perform Craftworker evaluations for direct labor reports including GF's and other Superintendents assigned to a given project.
• Must be able to complete time entry daily.
• Ability to understand MEP scopes, manage installs, subs, and quality of work put in place.
• Review changes to documents (addendums, CCDs, etc.) identify impacted trades, and communicate to onsite crews and PM/PE impact to schedule and GCs while understanding the impact of schedule.
• Must understand civil drawings/scopes, layout requirements, install details, and subcontractors.
• Must develop good work practices, communicate with the Team Facility, and take ownership of all company and rental equipment for their assigned project.
• Must mentor the Foremen and General Foreman to become better leaders.
• Must have a written understanding of project-specific deal (increase pay or PTO) for the project's duration, once completion is reached, the deal is completed.
