Project Engineer Intern
We are searching for an experienced Project Engineer Intern at our Tarlton HQ facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Our goal is to prepare you for a full-time Project Engineer role. During your internship, you will be exposed to many aspects of the construction process. You will work together with your Project Team to help coordinate construction activities and ensure a profitable, well-constructed, safe project is delivered.
Required Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES -Becoming familiar with all aspects of current project documents and scope of work PREQUISITES (i.e., Education, Experience) -Current college student seeking a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree
-Reviewing shop drawing submittals in a timely fashion
-Assisting in coordinating construction activities
-Helping to obtain permits
-Assisting in quantity takeoffs and confirmation of work quantities installed
-Developing pricing skills
-Soliciting material and equipment quotations
-Working in conjunction with the Superintendent
-Participating in estimating activities
-Assist in schedule development and management
-Develop scopes of work for inclusion in purchase orders and subcontracts
-Prepare jobsite meeting agendas and minutes
-Review subcontractor and supplier invoices against work completed to date
-Participate in the quality control/assurance program
-Participate in jobsite safety walks
-Assist in LEED documentation process
-Assist in project close-out procedures
