- Detect and report defective materials, questionable conditions, and mechanical issues to the department Lead and Manager.
- Follow set production schedule to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure the correct number of tiles are put into the box; ensure correct placement of face to face/back to back.
- Ensure correct box size.
- Lift packaged product onto pallet.
- Use material handling equipment to move material and product according to SOPs
- Use pallet wrapper to wrap skids
- Ensure that equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Maintain responsibility for all 5S within the department.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste.
- Participate, support and comply with all Safety, Quality and WCM initiatives and requirements.
- Assist in other duties to support operations as requested by Lead or Manager.
- Ability to work first and second shifts
- Ability to lift 40 lbs repetedly
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Perform basic math.
- Ability to perform multiple projects.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Ability to follow directions from and communicate with supervisors, lead person, and coworkers in a professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend and train with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and machine instruction manuals written in English.
- Ability to quickly adjust machine controls as need arises.
- Ability to safely use required tools such as an air blower and a utility knife.
