The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tufting operations, strong computer skills, a keen eye for detail, quality minded and possess moderate mechanical aptitude.
Essential Functions:
- Operate tufting machines to create graphics on artificial turf according to design specifications and customer requirements.
- Set up and prepare tufting machines for production runs, including loading appropriate materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent and accurate tufting of graphic designs, adjusting as necessary.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions or issues that may arise during the production process.
- Perform routine maintenance on tufting machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing mechanical wear parts such as needles and knives.
- Collaborate with the design team to understand the specific requirements and expectations for each graphic design project.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, production output, and any quality issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for material allocation and consumption.
- Perform or assist with backing coating processes, repair or quality assurance processes, backing removal and adjustment processes, and turf shearing process.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Supervision and or Management.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements and remain on feet for extended periods of time.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
