Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our dynamic team, this is a new shop with many improvements and opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish while adhering to safety and efficiency standards. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial painting processes, materials handling, and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating by washing, sanding, or masking as necessary.
- Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings uniformly to achieve the desired thickness and finish.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Assemble components as needed and assist in the fabrication of parts when required.
- Utilize basic math skills for measuring.
- Handle materials safely, ensuring proper storage and disposal of hazardous substances.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial powder coating is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Familiarity with wheels/rims powder coating techniques can be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Forklift certification a plus
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
