Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch warehouse and ensuring that inventory, employees, equipment, and deliveries are managed safely and efficiently. This position directly manages warehouse and driver personnel and works closely with the Branch Operations Manager to ensure smooth branch operations and a high level of customer service.
The Warehouse Manager provides leadership, direction, training, and support to branch personnel while maintaining an organized, safe, and productive work environment. This position is also responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating equipment and fleet maintenance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch warehouse to ensure efficient and consistent operations and exceptional customer service.
- Directly supervise warehouse associate and driver personnel, providing leadership, direction, and accountability.
- Plan, organize, and assign daily work to ensure warehouse and delivery operations are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate with the Branch Operations Manager to maintain accurate, organized, and properly stocked inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or discrepancies, and communicate replenishment needs as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and efficient warehouse and facility.
- Ensure all warehouse employees properly operate equipment and follow established safety procedures.
- Monitor compliance with company safety policies and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Identify potential safety and security concerns and take appropriate action to protect employees, inventory, equipment, and company property.
- Train and develop warehouse and driver personnel to ensure employees understand their responsibilities, company expectations, safety procedures, and proper equipment operation.
- Provide ongoing coaching and communication to build an effective, productive, and accountable team.
- Monitor employee performance and address performance concerns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work with management and Human Resources to address employee relations issues that may affect branch operations.
- Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and fleet vehicles to promote reliability, safety, and minimal operational disruptions.
- Communicate with other departments to coordinate warehouse, inventory, and delivery activities and ensure customer needs are met.
- Work closely with the Branch Operations Manager to resolve issues that may affect customer service or daily branch operations.
- Establish and maintain effective warehouse procedures and processes that promote productivity, accuracy, safety, and organization.
- Monitor workplace performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain awareness of changes to applicable safety requirements and ensure branch practices remain compliant.
- Assist with setting warehouse and team goals in coordination with the Branch Operations Manager and executive management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Capable of driving a box truck when needed.
- CDL Class A License a plus.

Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
- Previous experience supervising employees in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or similar environment preferred.
- Experience with inventory management and warehouse operations preferred.
- Experience with warehouse equipment and fleet operations preferred.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This position requires the ability to work in a warehouse environment and may require standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the facility. The Warehouse Manager must be able to safely perform or oversee warehouse activities and may be exposed to varying temperatures, warehouse equipment, vehicles, and other typical warehouse conditions.
The employee must be able to communicate effectively with employees and management and respond appropriately to safety, operational, and customer-service needs.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for promoting a safe work environment and ensuring employees follow company safety policies and applicable federal and state regulations. The position is expected to immediately address unsafe conditions or practices and communicate significant safety concerns to management.
